Shelbyville Downs Clinton In OVC Shootout

In a game heard on 1520AM & 92.3FM WHOW, the Shelbyville Rams outlasted the Clinton Maroons Friday night in a 46 to 35 Okaw Valley Conference Showdown.

The Maroons (1-5) scored first in a back and forth first half, but Shelbyville (4-2) used a big fourth quarter to pull out the win.

Clinton was led by Sophomore Quarterback Zach Pate, who ran 17 times for 225 yards and a touchdown.  He was also 2 of 4 passing for 106 yards and 2 TDs on his way to being named the Clinton IGA Maroons Player of the Game.  Ky Rezeck ran 16 times for 90 yards and two scores in the loss.

Shelbyville was led by Senior QB Tucker Schwengel, who had 79 yards and a touchdown on the ground, and threw for 145 yards and three scores.  Jordan Brown ran well for the Rams with 111 yards and a TD on 15 carries.

Clinton hosts St. Teresa next Friday night for Homecoming.  Hear the game on 1520AM & 92.3FM WHOW.
