It's too soon to know how the drought impacted Illinois wildlife but Tim Schweizer, with the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, says it may be good news for turkey hunters.

Schweizer says the rainfall over Labor Day weekend means there could be pretty good waterfowl habitats for the upcoming waterfowl season. Harvest is early this year. The first day of archery deer hunting season in Illinois was yesterday.
