Local Group Feeds Clinton Football Team

A local group has come together to make sure the Clinton Maroons varsity football team is well fed before each game.

The Clinton United Methodist Church has started what they hope will become a tradition of feeding the varsity football team each Thursday night through the season.  Pastor Steve Killion (Kill-ee-on) explains he's been a part of the "carb feeds" in other communities, and wanted to bring the event to Clinton.

Both Maroons players and coaches are grateful for the support.  Defensive Coordinator Aaron Fricke believes this type of community support is a boost to the players.

Senior Jamie Williams hopes to see more community groups get behind the Maroons athletic programs.

The Clinton United Methodist Church Men plan to continue the Thursday night "Carb Feeds" for the football team throughout the remainder of the season.
