NFL Notes: Bears On Bye; Colts Take On Jets; Rams Travel To Miami

>>Titans Upset Steelers

(Nashville, TN)  --  Rob Bironas' 40-yard field goal as time expired gave the Titans a 26-23 upset win over the Steelers on "Thursday Night Football."  Matt Hasselbeck passed for 290 yards, a touchdown and an interception to help the Titans improve to 2-and-4.  Chris Johnson rushed for 91 yards in the victory.  Ben Roethlisberger passed for 363 yards, a touchdown and a pick for the Steelers, who dropped to 2-and-3.  Roethlisberger passed Terry Bradshaw for most passing yards in franchise history.  Pittsburgh running backs Rashard Mendenhall and Issac Redman were both injured in the loss.

>>Rams, Dolphins Face Off In Miami

(Miami, FL)  --  The resurgent St. Louis Rams head to South Florida to take on the Miami Dolphins Sunday at Sun Life Stadium.  The Rams recorded nine sacks in a 17-3 win over the previously-unbeaten Cardinals in Week Five.  St. Louis has won two straight to improve to 3-and-2, the first time the team has been over .500 since 2006.  The Rams have lost four in-a-row in Miami and are 0-and-2 on the road this year.  The Dolphins are 2-and-3 after beating the Bengals, 17-13, at home this past Sunday.  Rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill has thrown just two touchdown passes and six picks so far this season.  The Dolphins are leading the NFL in run defense, allowing just 61 yards per game.

>>Colts Clash With Jets In Big Apple

(East Rutherford, NJ)  --  The Indianapolis Colts head to the "Big Apple" to battle the New York Jets Sunday at MetLife Stadium.  The Colts are coming off a 30-27 comeback win over the Packers that has them at 2-and-2 on the season.  Rookie quarterback Andrew Luck hit Reggie Wayne with a four-yard TD pass with 35 seconds to play for the win.  This is Indy's first road game since starting the season with a 41-21 loss at Chicago.  The Jets are coming off Monday night's 23-17 home loss to unbeaten Houston.  Gang Green has lost two straight and three-of-four to drop to 2-and-3.  Head coach Rex Ryan is sticking with Mark Sanchez at quarterback, leaving Tim Tebow in a reserve role.

>>Bears Enjoy Bye

(Chicago, IL)  --  The Bears will enjoy their bye this weekend.  At 4-and-1, Chicago enters its off week tied with the Vikings atop the NFC North.  The Bears will be back in action a week from Monday when they host the Lions at Soldier Field.
