Giants Down Cardinals In Game Five

Barry Zito struck out six over seven-and-two-thirds frames of six-hit, shutout ball to lift the Giants over the Cardinals, 5-0, in Game Five of the NLCS.  Pablo Sandoval drilled a solo shot in the eighth and scored twice for San Francisco, which still trails 3-2 in the best-of-seven series.  Brandon Crawford knocked in two runs in the win.  Cards outfielder Carlos Beltran was back in the lineup after missing Game Four and was 1-for-4 with a stolen base.  Lance Lynn struck out six but gave up four unearned runs in three-and-two-thirds innings for the loss.  Game Six is in San Francisco on Sunday night.
