Investigation into the scene of an accident which occurred at approximately 6:15 p.m. on Friday, October 26, revealed that a vehicle driven by Nichole Lucas, 40, Clinton, was at the intersection of Main and US 51. She thought the vehicle driven by Phillip Taylor, 61, Clinton, was slowing down to turn so she began crossing the highway. When she realized Taylor was not turning she slammed on her brakes. Taylor’s front passenger side struck Lucas’ front driver’s side. No injuries were reported and the vehicles were towed from the scene. Lucas was issued a citation for Failure To Yield-Stop Or Yield Intersection. Lucas posted her IL Driver’s License as bond and was released.

Stacy Derbort, 35, Argenta, was issued a citation for Speeding (60 mph in a 45 mph zone). Derbort posted her IL Driver’s License as bond and was released.

Henry Walker Jr, 31, Bloomington, was issued a citation for Speeding (65 mph in a 45 mph zone). Walker posted his IL Driver’s License as bond and was released.

Justin Hood, 20, Deland was issued a citation for Operating Uninsured Vehicle. Hood posted his IL Driver’s License as bond and was released.

Corey Forrest, 39, Rutland, was issued a citation for Speeding (78 mph in a 55 mph zone). Forrest posted his IL Driver’s License as bond and was released.

Roger Ledbetter, 54, Maroa, was issued a citation for Speeding (74 mph in a 55 mph zone). Ledbetter posted his IL Driver’s License as bond and was released.
