MLB End of Year Award Finalists Announced

>>MLB Manager Of The Year Finalists Released

(Undated) -- The Baseball Writers' Association of America released the finalists for the American and National League Manager of the Year awards on Wednesday. Bob Melvin from Oakland, Buck Showalter of Baltimore and White Sox skipper Robin Ventura represent the AL. World Series winning manager Bruce Bochy, Cincinnati's Dusty Baker and Davey Johnson from Washington are the managers from the NL. Both winners will be announced on Tuesday.

(Undated) -- The Baseball Writers' Association of America released the finalists for the American and National League Most Valuable Player Awards on Wednesday. Triple Crown winner Miguel Cabrera of Detroit and Angels rookie phenom Mike Trout headline the AL finalists. They are joined by Adrian Beltre and Josh Hamilton of Texas and Robinson Cano from the Yankees. Ryan Braun of the Brewers is looking to become the first back-to-back winner in the NL since Albert Pujols in 2008 and 2009. Chase Headley from San Diego, Andrew McCutchen of Pittsburgh and catchers Yadier Molina of St. Louis and Buster Posey from the world champion Giants join Braun in the NL. Hall of Famer Johnny Bench is the last catcher to win the National League MVP in 1972. Both winners will be announced on Thursday, November 15th.

(Undated) -- The Baseball Writers' Association of America released the finalists for the American and National League Rookie of the Year awards on Wednesday. Yoenis Cespedes of Oakland, Yu Darvish from Texas and Mike Trout from the Angels are up for the American League honor. Cincinnati's Todd Frazier, Bryce Harper of Washington and Wade Miley of Arizona are the finalists on the National League side. Both winners will be announced on Monday.

>>MLB Cy Young Award Finalists Released

(Undated) -- The Baseball Writers' Association of America released the finalists for the American and National League Cy Young Awards on Wednesday. Reigning winner and AL MVP Justin Verlander represents the Tigers. He is joined by two 20-game winners in Jered Weaver from the Angels and David Price from Tampa Bay. The reigning winner on the NL side is also back. Dodgers starter Clayton Kershaw is joined by knuckleballer R.A. Dickey of the Mets and Gio Gonzalez from Washington. Both winners will be announced on Wednesday.
