The deadline for the Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce's annual Christmas Parade float entries and grand marshall nominees are due Monday.

The Chamber has been accepting nominations and float entries since October, and today those are due. Executive Director of the Clinton Chamber, Marian Brisard explains the "Light Up The Night" Christmas parade is an annual event the Chamber hosts each year, and it is not hard to make a nomination for the parade's Grand Marshall.

The Christmas parade has gone under a rather large change for 2012. Traditionally the parade takes place on a Wednesday night, however, the Chamber Board has decided the "Light Up The Night" parade will now be on a Saturday afternoon. Brisard says this is a change they have contemplated for a long time and it will end a 20 plus year run on being in the evening.

The Chamber is closed for the Veteran's Day Holiday Monday, but entries can be dropped off still at their off. They ask that those nomination letters be slid under the door. Those nominations or entries can be dropped off at 100 South Center Street, Suite 101 on the Clinton Square.
