Schilling Wants Farm Bill Before New Congress Sworn In

 width=Illinois is losing a seat on the U.S. House Ag Committee now that 17th District Congressman Bobby Schilling lost a bid for reelection. Schilling says he wants to see a five year, not a two year, Farm Bill extension pass before he leaves office in January.

Congressman Schilling says he wants to see a Farm Bill pass by the time he leaves office in January. He says it won't just impact farmers.

Schilling says consumers will end up paying the price at the grocery store if farmers don't have good crop insurance. He'll be leaving office in January. He was unseated by Democrat Cheri Bustos in last Tuesday's election.
