Price, Dickey Cy Young Winners

>>Rays' Price Wins AL Cy Young Award

(New York, NY) -- Tampa Bay Rays pitcher David Price is the Cy Young Award winner in the American League. The left-hander captured his first Cy Young in a vote of the Baseball Writers' Association of America. Price went 20-and-5 with an AL-leading 2.56 ERA to beat out 2011 winner Justin Verlander of the Detroit Tigers and Jered Weaver of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

(New York, NY) -- New York Mets pitcher R.A. Dickey is the National League Cy Young Award winner. He's the first knuckleballer to win as voted on by the Baseball Writers' Association of America. Dickey went 20-and-6 with a 2.73 ERA and a league-leading 230 strikeouts. Gio Gonzalez of the Washington Nationals and 2011 winner Clayton Kershaw of the L.A. Dodgers were the other finalists.
