Clinton High School Gym Has New Look

As the winter sports season brings most sports into the gymnasium, those who frequent Clinton High School home sports events may notice something different about the new home of the Maroons.

Dr. Candice Swift, Principal at Clinton High School explains there was a joint effort between the school and the athletic boosters to spruce up the gym. Those that come out now will notice more uniform banners, uniform sponsorship logos and new record boards.

Along with the new look of the gymnasium's banners, there has been some paint work as well. Dr. Swift adds, not only has the gym changed, but the commons area has a new look as well. The commons was a major part of the renovations that took place over the summer, bringing a new concessions area to the high school.

The volleyball team was able to use the gym during the fall sports season, and now both the boys and girls basketball teams will use it as well. The girls basketball team has started their season and the boys basketball team begins their season tonight at the Mt. Pulaski Holiday Tournament and host their first home game a week from tonight.

The gym is also slated to get a new basketball floor next year.
