The Jays also get catcher John Buck and utilityman Emilio Bonifacio, while Miami receives shortstop Yunel Escobar, catcher Jeff Mathis and five prospects. According to MLB.com, Toronto also gets four-million-dollars to help compensate for the nearly 165-million in salary the Jays acquired.

(Tampa, FL) -- A task force is issuing its report on the best ways to pay for a new stadium for the Tampa Bay Rays. The Baseball Stadium Financing Caucus looked at funding sources from both Hillsborough and Pinellas counties to find ways to pay for a new venue estimated to cost 500-million-dollars. The group thinks a new stadium could be built without imposing new taxes on residents but would need hotel and rental car taxes, redevelopment district funds, and bonds from local municipalities.
