Clinton Water Needs Computer Upgrade

The computer system that runs the Clinton Water Department has recently experienced a glitch, and it is working, but not ideally.

This has forced the Water Department to make an emergency purchase to upgrade their computer system that runs the department. John Wise, Commissioner of Public Property, explains the entire system is automated and right now the system is working just fine.

The upgrades to the water system computer will make it run quicker and more efficiently. Commissioner Wise explains for the time being, the system is doing everything just like it is supposed to, so there is no need to worry for the public. However, the quicker they can make the upgrade happen, the quicker things can go back to normalcy at the automated end of the operation.

A SCADA system, or supervisory control and data acquisition, is a type of industrial control system that monitors and control industrial processes, in this case, the Clinton water system.

The city approved the upgrade for just over $54-hundred.
