Clinton Names New Jr. High School Principal

Clinton Jr. High School has named their successor for current Principal, John Pine.

Last Tuesday evening, the Clinton Board of Education named Drew Goebel as the new Principal of the Junior High School. Superintendent of Clinton Schools Dr. Jeff Holmes says he is very excited about Mr. Goebel taking over the reigns of the Jr. High.

Dr. Holmes has many high praises for Mr. Goebel. Dr. Holmes explains Mr. Goebel is a self-starter, who gets things done, he gets along with the kids very well and really understands teachers and effective ways to teach kids. Dr. Holmes also notes Mr. Goebel has been instrumental in helping implement technology into the school and classroom settings.

Dr. Holmes says Mr. Goebel has proven to him and the Board of Education he is the right person for the job in his two years as Assistant Principal at the Jr. High. Dr. Holmes calls him 'an outstanding leader' who communicates well with his teachers.

Goebel has served in Clinton before. Goebel was a student teacher for the district nearly a decade ago. Goebel came to the Clinton District after serving as the Assistant Principal at Eureka High School.
