DCRA Holiday Home Tour This Weekend

The holiday season always provides the opportunity for people to decorate their homes and this weekend will give you an opportunity to view some home from the inside.

The DeWitt County Restoration Association will be presenting their Annual Christmas tour of homes this Sunday. Becky Adams, chair of the DCRA, says that they hope as many people as possible come out and take the tour. She says that there will be many interesting aspects to the 4 houses on the tour. 3 of the homes are out in the country and some are re-modeled farm houses. One of the homes belongs to Mayor Carolyn Peters. Adams describes some of the features of Mayor Peters' home.

The Christmas Tour of Homes is a great fundraiser for the DCRA and there is a specific area in which this year's funds will be directed. Adams says that the money raised will go to assist the restoration of the Magill House.

If anyone is interested in the tour of homes, it is Sunday from 2-5 pm. Tickets will be $10 and can be purchased at Graves Stationers or at one of the homes on the tour. The closest home would be Mayor Peters' house which is the only one in town. The address is 29 Manorhill Drive.
