Bears Notes; Broncos At Raiders For TNF

>>Cutler Says Bears Offense Needs To Pick Up Slack

Jay Cutler says it's up to the offense now for the Chicago Bears.

They're banged up on both sides of the ball, but the defense might be without its leader for the remainder of the season with Brian Urlacher sidelined by a hamstring injury.

Cutler says the offense has to "find a way" to pick up the slack.

The defense led the way early on as the Bears jumped out to a big start. The schedule took a tougher turn and the injuries mounted. It's added up to three losses in four games, and suddenly, the playoffs don't seem like such a lock for the Bears (8-4). Things could really get dicey with a loss at Minnesota this week.

>>Vikings Place Harvin On IR

(Minneapolis, MN) -- Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Percy Harvin's season came to an end on Wednesday when the team decided to place him on the Injured Reserve List. Harvin, who was in the midst of a breakout season, injured his ankle Week Nine against the Seahawks. Through nine games, the fourth-year wide out had 62 catches for 677 yards and three touchdowns. The most catches Harvin had previously was 87 in 16 games in 2011. Minnesota is currently clinging onto playoff hopes at 6-and-6 along with three other teams in the NFC. The final wild card spot is held by the Seahawks at 7-and-5. The Vikings host the Bears Sunday afternoon.

>>Streaking Broncos Look To Keep Raiders Reeling

(Oakland, CA) -- The Denver Broncos take a seven-game winning streak into the Black Hole for a Thursday night showdown with the Oakland Raiders. The Broncos are enjoying their longest winning streak since 1998 and have already clinched the AFC West at 9-and-3. Peyton Manning passed for 338 yards and three touchdowns as Denver defeated Oakland 37-6 in Week Four. The Broncos are still fighting for a first-round bye, tied with Baltimore and New England for the AFC's second seed. The Raiders have dropped five in-a-row and are just 3-and-9 overall. Oakland surrendered 364 yards passing to rookie Brandon Weeden in a 20-17 home loss to Cleveland on Sunday. The Raiders are allowing an NFL worst 31.3 points per game and will miss the playoffs for the tenth straight season.
