'Horse Bowl' Competitors Wanted

Horses will be the name of the game for area 4-H youth.

Starting January 3, horse project participants, or horse enthusiasts around the area have the opportunity to take part in the Horse Bowl. Sherry Fulton, Youth Educator with the University of Illinois Extension says this is a scholastic bowl-like competition with questions that may be geared towards the care, hygiene, or even anatomy of horses.

Each year, the amount of participants varies, which results in varied amounts of Counties or 4-H Groups that participate. Fulton says the interest in horses across Illinois very strong, which makes this a very strong program.
