Most of the area saw drops in unemployment from October to November.
DeWitt County's unemployment dropped from 7.5 to 7.3%.
Piatt County saw a small decrease from 6.6% to 6.5%.
Logan County dropped from 7.7% to 7.5%.
McLean County saw one of the areas largest drops, going from 6.6% to 6.1%.
Macon County saw the areas lone rise in unemployment, going from 10.1% to 10.2%.
Champaign County also dropped a half-percent, going from 7.7% to 7.2%.
Christian County dropped just slightly, going from 9% to 8.9%.
Moultrie County also dropped just slightly, going from 6.7% to 6.6%.
The state's lowest unemployment rate was in Brown County, which registered at 4.6% unemployment rate. Alexander County saw the largest unemployment rate at 11.1%.
The state's biggest drop in unemployment was in Rock Island County, with almost a percent drop, going from 7.9% to 7%. And the largest increase was in Calhoun County, going from 7.2% to 8.4%.
Illinois' unemployment rate in November was 8.2%, down from 8.4% in October. Illinois' unemployment rate was also almost a percent higher than the national average of 7.4%.
