Lovie Smith is out as head coach of the Chicago Bears. The move comes just a day after the Bears missed the playoffs despite a 10-and-6 record. Smith has been the Bears head coach since 2004, leading Chicago to the Super Bowl in 2006. The Bears, however, have only made the playoffs once since then, losing in the NFC Championship Game in 2010. Overall, Smith went 81-and-63 in nine seasons.
