Clinton YMCA Introducing 'Body Pump' Program

The new year is here and that means making new year's resolutions.

The biggest challenge for just about every person that makes a new year's resolution is keeping it. One of the most common new year's resolution may be getting in shape or losing weight. The Clinton YMCA is introducing a new program in mid-January to help you get in shape and sculpt muscle. Pat Fought with the Clinton Y explains their new program, "Body Pump" is an hour long exercise that works all your major muscle groups.

"Body Pump" is targeted towards health seekers. Executive Director Jann Martin explains this program is for the person who may have a new year's resolution or is trying to get into shape for a significant event in life.

"Body Pump" is a results driven program. Martin says in just a few weeks you will be able to see physical results. While it may seem like this program is for the body builder or the workout junkie, that is not the case at all. Anyone wanting to get into shape and stay in shape is encouraged to join the program.

The new monthly 'fit cards' are $10 a month and can get you into any of the exercise programs that YMCA offers, both aquatic and land exercises. Martin notes there are over 45 land exercise programs available.
