Ernie Harvey Concludes 20-Plus Year Ministry In Clinton

A long time Clinton minister is saying goodbye this week.

Ernie Harvey, minister of Jr. High and Children, at the First Christian Church of Clinton spent his last Sunday at FCC yesterday. His time in the community has numbered more than 20 years and he says that there have been many highlights over the years. One of the greatest highlights for him is seeing kids that went through his programs, and are able to marry them.

Harvey says that one of the great aspects of being part of the Clinton community over the years is the small town atmosphere. He says that it's always great to be able to know the people you see when you go out to eat or to shop.

Harvey says that he also appreciates the Clinton schools willingness to work with the local churches to assist them in putting up flyers or participate in yearly events. One of Harvey's major involvments during his time in Clinton was his work with the local Salvation Army. He says that their totals and turnout this year were exceptional and will be hard to top next year.

Harvey and his family will be heading to Fort Wayne, Indiana where he will begin a new minsitry position at Christ's Church.
