Gambling expansion is not a dead deal in Illinois. State Senator Terry Link says he plans to tweak the proposal and reintroduce it in the next few weeks.

Link says he's willing to listen to those who have concerns so he can get a bill that's suitable for everyone.

Governor Quinn wants people who represent the casino industry to be banned from giving campaign donations. Link says he and his colleagues will consider that and include it in the bill. They've been trying to add five new casinos in the state for a couple years, but the plan has been held up because of disagreements with the governor. Advocates say the casinos will bring in billions in extra revenue and put tens of thousands of people to work.
