(Undated) -- Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout will not play for Team USA in the World Baseball Classic this Spring. Fellow Angels outfielder Josh Hamilton is also expected to sit out for the Americans. On the other hand, first baseman Albert Pujols [[ POO-holes ]] is still unsure if he will play for the Dominican Republic. He is recovering from knee surgery. Pujols did participate in 2006 but missed the 2009 WBC. Los Angeles position players are scheduled to report for Spring Training in Arizona on February 14th.

>>Beltre, Cruz To Play In WBC

(Undated) -- Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre and outfielder Nelson Cruz will play for the Dominican Republic in the World Baseball Classic. Beltre was on his native team for the 2006 WBC but was absent in 2009. Texas closer Joe Nathan is still unsure if he will play for the United States.

(Undated) -- Orioles center fielder Adam Jones will play in the upcoming World Baseball Classic for Team USA. Jones received the invitation from United States manager Joe Torre prior to Christmas. Jones is expected to be the only Oriole on Team USA, but other O's could represent different countries. Starter Miguel Gonzalez could pitch for Mexico while reliever Pedro Strop is a candidate to pitch for the Dominican Republic.
