>>Ravens Top Niners For Super Bowl 47 Title

(New Orleans, LA) -- Joe Flacco tossed for 287 yards and three first-half touchdowns as the Ravens held off the 49ers 34-31 in Super Bowl 47 at the Superdome. Flacco was named the game's MVP. Anquan Boldin had six catches for 104 yards and a TD for Baltimore, which was ahead 28-6 prior to a power outage early in the third quarter. Jacoby Jones added a 56-yard TD reception and a 108-yard kickoff return for a score, which is the longest play in Super Bowl history. Baltimore linebacker Ray Lewis made seven tackles in his final NFL game. This is the franchise's second Super Bowl championship, with their first coming at Super Bowl 35 in 2001. Colin Kaepernick [[ KAP-er-nik ]] threw for 302 yards, a TD and an interception for the Niners. He added 62 yards and a score on the ground, but Frank Gore was San Francisco's leading rusher with 110 yards and a touchdown. (New Orleans, LA) -- Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco was named the Super 47 MVP after leading Baltimore to a 34-31 win over the 49ers. Flacco completed 22-of-33 passes for 287 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions. All three TD tosses came in the first half. He did not throw an interception the entire postseason. It is the fourth straight Super Bowl a quarterback earned the MVP honor. Flacco has a 9-and-4 career mark with the Ravens in the playoffs. This was his first appearance in the season's final game.

(New Orleans, LA) -- Ravens middle linebacker Ray Lewis' career came to a conclusion as a champion when Baltimore defeated the 49ers 34-31 in Super Bowl 47. Lewis announced earlier in the season this would be his final year at the age of 37. Lewis played all 17 seasons with the Ravens, who drafted him with the 26th pick in the first round of the 1996 NFL Draft. The University of Miami product made it to the Pro Bowl 13 times and is the only player in NFL history to record 40 or more sacks and 30 or more interceptions. This was Lewis' second Super Bowl win. The first one came in 2001 when Baltimore defeated the Giants in Super Bowl 35.

(New Orleans, LA) -- Super Bowl 47 is being remembered for a power outage that helped change the game's momentum early in the second half. With 13:22 remaining in the third quarter, more than half the lights inside the Mercedes-Benz Superdome cut out. That led to a nearly 35-minute delay before power was fully restored. Baltimore led 28-6 at the time, but San Francisco scored 17 points in a span of just over four minutes after play resumed to get back in the game. A pair of Justin Tucker fourth-quarter field goals helped the Ravens hold off the 49ers for a 34-31 win.
