Head football coach for Monticello High School, Cullen Welter says he is proud of his star runningback and linebacker. He says Donohue has a great head on his shoulders and was making this decision with his family and making sure it was the right decision.

Donohue stood out mostly as a runningback, but also started and as an outside linebacker. He says they recruited him as a runningback, but they will try and fill him in wherever there are needs, which Donohue seems just fine with.

Donohue poses great athleticism, strength, speed and size and Coach Welter says those physical aspects certainly make him an intriguing player. He also notes it's the intangibles that make Donohue a great recruit as well. Things such as leadership and work ethic.

Donohue says it all hit home when he would return home and have two or three coaches calling him interested in his talent. He says playing at a Division I level of football will be a lot different than playing in a 3A small town school.

Butler is a Divsion I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) program that plays in the Pioneer League.
