Illini Nabs 20 Recruits; National Signing Day Recap

Yesterday marked the unofficial start of the college football season with National Signing Day. High school standouts from across the country made their college selections. According to Rivals.com, Illinois has the 46th-best class according to Rivals.

(Undated) -- The University of Alabama is being declared the recruiting winner once again in college football. Rivals.com rates the Crimson Tide's 2013 class the best in the nation following Wednesday's National Signing day. It's the fifth time in six years Alabama has claimed the honor. The two-time defending national champions landed four five-star recruits in defensive end Jonathan Allen, linebacker Reuben Foster, defensive tackle A'Shawn Robinson and tight end O.J. Howard. Four-star running back Alvin Kamara is also headed to Tuscaloosa. Ohio State's class ranks second, followed by Notre Dame, Florida, Michigan, LSU and Ole Miss. The Rebels landed three top-20 players, including top-overall prospect in defensive end Robert Nkemdiche [[ kem-DEECH-ee ]].
