Rams Waive Troubled WR Young

The St. Louis Rams placed Titus Young on waivers Friday, just 10 days after claiming the problematic wide receiver from the Detroit Lions.  Young was waived by the Lions on February 4th following a turbulent 2012 campaign that ended on injured reserve in early December.  Young had an altercation with wide receivers coach Shawn Jefferson on the sidelines in November.  Head coach Jeff Fisher did not discuss specifics about the move during a Friday news conference, though he did indicate that health was not a factor in the team's decision.  In 26 games over his two-year stint in Detroit, Young recorded 81 catches for 990 yards and 10 touchdowns.
