Quinn: Permanent Tax Hike Not Answer For Pension Reform

The newest pension proposal is getting a bit of resistance. Representative Lou Lang introduced a bill that would make a tax hike permanent to foot the bill, but Governor Quinn doesn't like that idea.

Governor Quinn says he's open to new ideas, but he thinks the Senate bill is the best proposal out there

Quinn says the bottom line is to get the best bill as possible, even if that means making some changes to current proposals. He says pension reform is the most pressing issue facing the state. He says the whole economy is held up because of the 96-billion dollar liability.
