It's part of a larger jobs package introduced by House Republicans. Kay says the broken workers' comp system is one of the biggest concerns employers have about the state business climate. He and other state reps believe meaningful reform will put businesses on an even playing field with those in bordering states. They've also proposed plans that will reduce the cost of setting up a business, ease regulations on business, and roll back the tax hike that took effect two years ago. They say their proposals could put hundreds of thousands of people back to work.
