Lawmaker Compares Gun Control To Castration

The fight over where people will and will not be able to carry guns in public is proving to be quite emotional. State Representative Jim Sacia [[ Say-shuh ]] says Chicago lawmakers won't budge on their gun views and he says, they're making him pay for it.

Chicago lawmakers snapped at Representative Sacia, claiming he was out of order for comparing gun rights to castration. But Sacia disagreed.

Sacia made the comments Tuesday, when state reps tacked on more than a dozen amendments to a bill that would ban people from carrying guns almost everywhere except on public sidewalks. Chicago lawmakers want more gun free zones because of their high crime rate, but gun supporters say those are the places criminals target. The debate comes as lawmakers scramble to get a concealed carry law on the books. They have until June 9th to do so.
