Investigation into the scene of an accident which occurred at 4:45 am on 2/27/13 revealed that Arleen Chaidez, 62, Clinton, was eastbound on IL 10, east of Sumpter Road, when her vehicle began to slide on the snowy surface. Chaidez stated her vehicle spun around and left the road on the north side. The vehicle struck the guardrail on the north side of the road with the passenger side. The crash caused damage to the passenger side rear bumper, fender, and rear passenger side door, as well as the front passenger side quarter panel and bumper. Chaidez stated there was no visible damage to the guardrail. There were no injuries reported or observed.

Tyler Gaherty, 25, Farmer City, was arrested on a DeWitt county warrant charging him with Failure to Appear or Pay for the Conviction of Aggravated Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Gaherty posted the necessary bond and was released.

Bradley Tauge, 46, Decatur was arrested for a Coles County Warrant. Tauge posted the necessary bond and was released.
