Richland Community College Hosting College 101

Local students considering their next level of education can learn more about one educational establishment later this week.

Richland Community College will be hosting their annual "College 101" night. Stuart Coon, Counselor and Academic Advisor at Richland says the event is going to be an informative evening for anyone considering Richland Community College.

While some departments may only have a few faculty on hand to talk with students, Coon notes two departments that will have a lot of people available will be the financial aid and academic advising departments. Coon explains he and his peers will be on hand to talk about everything from the basic college experience to guiding you through getting registered for classes

Faculty will also be on hand to help students find financial aid opportunities. Coon says there is a great wealth of opportunity for financial aid and encourages everyone to come inquire about those opportunities.

College 101 will be this Thursday night at the campus of Richland Community College in from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Shilling Center.

There will be opportunities to register to win a 3 credit hour tuition waiver, gas cards and other prizes.
