Quinn Signs Billion Dollar Construction Plan

The state is about to invest a billion-bucks into improving roads and bridges.  Governor Quinn approved the capital construction plan this morning, giving the green light for about 200-projects to go forward this summer.  Quinn says that'll put just over 14-thousand people to work.  The construction deal was rushed through the legislature in the final hours of session before they wrapped up back in May.  Both Democrats and Republicans supported the plan.  It allows them to show face at dozens of ribbon cutting ceremonies just ahead of the election.
