Bulls Working To Acquire Kevin Love

(Chicago, IL) -- The Chicago Bulls are making a strong push to trade for Minnesota Timberwolves All-Star forward Kevin Love. SheridanHoops.com reports the Bulls are offering a package of Taj Gibson, Nikola Mirotic [[ nee-koe-luh MEER-oh-titch ]] and Doug McDermott for Love. The Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors have also been linked to the highly coveted big man. Love averaged over 26 points and 12.5 rebounds per game last season for Minnesota. He has made it clear he has no intension of re-signing with the T'wolves. He will be a free agent after this coming season.

(Dallas, TX) -- Free-agent point guard Jameer Nelson is set to meet with the Mavericks Thursday in Dallas. The "Dallas Morning News" reports the Mavs are trying to use their 2.7-million-dollar trade exception to sign the veteran. Nelson was waived by the Magic at the end of June after spending his first 10 seasons in Orlando. The 32-year-old averaged 12.1 points and seven assists in 68 games last season.
