Witness tampering charges against a college football player are being dropped. Earlier today, Zakee Lloyd pleaded guilty in a Wilmington, Delaware courtroom to murdering Manuel Oliveras in April of 2012. In light of that confession, prosecutors dropped charges against West Virginia running back Wendell Smallwood. He'd been accused of threatening a witness against Lloyd in an attempt to get her to change her testimony. Prosecutors say Smallwood has been cooperative and had agreed to testify against Lloyd if needed.
