>>Cardinals Agree To Extension With Peterson

(Glendale, AZ) -- Arizona Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson is staying in the desert long-term. Peterson tweeted that he and the team have agreed to a five-year, 70-million-dollar contract with 48-million guaranteed.  width=The 24-year-old LSU product hasn't missed a game in his first three NFL seasons, recording 161 tackles and 12 interceptions in 48 contests. Peterson had 42 tackles and three picks last year.

(Undated) -- Soon-to-be Buffalo Bills Hall of Famer Andre Reed is apparently not a fan of rock star and prospective owner Jon Bon Jovi. About Bon Jovi's reported plan to buy the Bills and move the team to Toronto, Reed tells "New York Magazine," "Man, f--- Bon Jovi! You might as well just take this city, throw it in the river, and let it go down Niagara Falls." Reed also ripped into Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Johnny Manziel [[ man-ZELL ]], saying he would be booed out of Buffalo and that Bills fans would put him in his place. Reed is set to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame this weekend.

>>Browns' Gordon To Blame Second-Hand Smoke For Positive Test

(New York, NY) -- Suspended Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon is ready to blame second-hand smoke for testing positive for marijuana. ESPN.com reports Gordon's legal team intends to dispute the accuracy of the positive tests during an appeal hearing on Friday. One sample barely exceeded the threshold for a positive test and a second from the same sample registered under the threshold, consistent with exposure to second-hand smoke. Gordon was suspended for at least one year after violating the NFL's substance abuse policy for a third time. He led the league with more than 16-hundred yards receiving last year.
