Clinton YMCA Strong Kids' Campaign Continues As They Approach Their Goal

width=The Clinton YMCA has benefited greatly from the 2014 Strong Kids Campaign.

The Y is well ahead of their goal for their 2014 campaign of $100-thousand. According to Executive Director Rennie Cluver, they have received great community support throughout the year and donations are still coming in and being accepted that will help support kids who are unable to afford various Y activities.

To date, the Y is at 95% of their $100,000 goal. Cluver says Strong Kids will, technically, never wrap up as they will accept contributions throughout the year. However, the seeking of donations by volunteers will wind down as fall approaches.

Being out in the community is one of the greatest ways Strong Kids can gain support. Cluver believes every local business and organization wants to be a part of the betterment of Clinton and DeWitt County and one of his usual monthly stops involves the Clinton Rotary. He speaks before them and many other community groups in hopes of gathering more support for the mission of the Y.
