Soldiers Arrival Being Delayed

A group of soldiers were slated to come home from a seven-month deployment tonight, but that's being pushed back.  Officials with the Illinois National Guard say the 18-men and women will now arrive in Peoria between 6:00 and 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.  The group has been working security missions and other law enforcement related details in southwest Asia, supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.  Part of their job was to make improvements to the air base, boost security infrastructure, and advance the air base's physical and electronic force protection capabilities.
