Jurors in Peoria have convicted a Chicago man of killing four people when he set an apartment fire in 2010.

It took the Peoria County jury about 90 minutes to convict 37-year-old Aunterrio Barney on Monday of first-degree murder and arson. The fire killed sisters 24-year-old Youlandice Simmons, 22-year-old Brianna Simmons and 19-year-old Darresse Roddy. Youlandice Simmon's 2-year-old son died the next day.

Prosecutors say Barney was upset with Youlandice Simmons for not returning his calls. They say he poured gasoline on the only stairwell to her apartment.

Barney is to be sentenced Sept. 4. Reports indicate he faces a mandatory term of life in prison.

Barney's defense attorney, Hugh Toner, blamed another man for the fire.
