Social Security Fraud Becoming Increasingly Common

You local Social Security office is encouraging beneficiaries to be on the lookout for various fraud schemes.

Fraud across the nation is becoming more and more frequent than many may realize. Kevin Rice, with Social Security, explains the crimes are often discovered through anonymous tips made to Social Secuirty.

Anonymous callers can provide as much information as they want but the more information a caller can provide increases the chances fraud can be discovered and dealt with. At the very least, Rice explains basic information such as names and dates of birth are of the most importance when trying to expose someone's scheme.
