Tuesday night the Clinton Board of Education swore in their newest member, Russell Long.

Long is a long time Clinton resident who has kids in the school system currently. Earlier this month, the Board held a special meeting to interview nine candidates who submitted interest in filling the seat left vacant by the passing of Tom Pruser. Long says he is looking forward to joining the BOE and working with Superintendent Dr. Jeff Holmes and the other Board members.

Long feels he can bring a lot to the Board of Education. He points to his experience and work with technology in his current line of work as a strength he can bring to the Board.

Because Pruser was the Board of Education Vice-President, John Blythe was named to the post Tuesday night as well.
