DJWH Board Approves Remodels

Monday night's Dr. John Warner Hospital Board meeting saw the board take action to approve two necessary remodels for the hospital.

Director of Support Services for the city owned hospital, Terrance Hubbard asked the board to approve the replacement of an air service unit and for a new set of emergency room doors.

The board also approved spending on a new set of doors for the emergency room entrance. Hubbard says the new doors will be more efficient than the current doors and that the current doors will not function for much longer before they are rendered useless.

Both projects fall well within the given budget and are critical repairs for the hopital to operate at maximum efficiency and comply with federal guidelines.

Monday's meeting also saw the reappointment of board officers. All board members retained their current positions.
