Anderson Ford Hosting Drive One For Your School

width=The Anderson Ford dealership in Clinton is once again hosting their "Drive One For Your School" test drive event to benefit the sports programs at Clinton High School.

Owner Randy Anderson says this has been a great event in recent years and it goes to benefit the sports programs within the high school. He explains anyone can come in and take a no strings attached test drive, and Ford will make a donation to the Clinton Athletic Booster Club, of up to $6-thousand.

For added incentive to get Clinton School district staff involved, Anderson indicates he will be donating $10, up to 120 test drives, for each staff member that takes a test drive. He says the money will be distributed among each building in the district.

According to high school Principal, Jerry Wayne, the fact Anderson Ford has done this for several years now speaks to his commitment to the community, but Wayne notes it is great to have a business like Anderson Ford be a supporter of the district.

The added incentive of staff of the school district helping their own cause is something Wayne encourages his peers to do. The drive, this Friday and Saturday, is a short process and he feels it is very generous of Anderson to contribute his own funds into classrooms, not just the athletic programs.

Anderson notes the test drive fundraiser has been an up and down turn out for the dealership. He hopes to be able to contribute the maximum amount of funds into the Booster Club and the school district this weekend. He says it is a great effort to get behind because the Clinton Athletic Booster Club does a great deal for the programs across the district.

The Drive One For Your School drive takes place this Friday from 9am - 6 pm and 9 am - 5 pm on Saturday at Anderson Ford in Clinton. Anderson notes every car is up to be test driven, however, only one person from each household is allowed a test a drive, and that is per Ford policy.

Anderson serves as the girls track and field coach in the winter and spring.
