(Undated) -- The Texas Longhorns and Michigan Wolverines will square off in a blockbuster college football non-conference series. CBS Sports reports the two football powers have agreed to a home-and-home series. Texas will travel to Ann Arbor on August 31, 2024, while the Wolverines will head to Austin a couple of years later on September 4, 2027. UT and U-of-M have only met once in their storied history. The teams played in the 2005 Rose Bowl when the Longhorns came back from down 10 points to defeat the Wolverines in a thriller, 38-37.

>>Texas' Ash Career Over

(Austin, TX) -- Texas quarterback David Ash's career is over. Longhorns head coach Charlie Strong stated during a press conference Ash will no longer play because of numerous bouts with concussions. Ash played the entire game under center in the Longhorns season-opening win over North Texas, but began experiencing concussion-related symptoms following the game. The junior was medically redshirted last season because of a concussion he suffered in Texas' second game. Ash has started 22 contests for the Longhorns and owns a 15-and-7 record. Tyrone Swoopes has taken over the QB position.
