Rauner Efforts To Woo Black Voters Paying Off

Bruce Rauner's efforts to woo black voters seem to be paying off. He got the endorsement of quite a few black ministers in Chicago but Political Scientist Kent Redfield says that may not mean success on Election Day.

He got the endorsement of quite a few black ministers in Chicago and Redfield says if that turns into actual votes, it could mean trouble for Governor Quinn.

Quinn got 81-percent of the vote out of Chicago in 2010 and 58-percent of out suburban Cook County. Many of those votes come from Black, Hispanic, and other minority voters. Quinn needs to maintain those kinds of numbers in order to win the election. He also needs to pull about 40-percent of the vote in downstate Illinois.
