DJWH Board Discusses Future and Clears Misconceptions

 width=Monday night's Doctor John Warner Hospital Board meeting featured discussions of several key issues.

Interim CEO Robert Wolleben (picture right) presented his Financial Performance Improvement Plan during the session. He explains finances seemed to be looking up for the month of September with several areas of the hospital being ahead in volume. Conversations have already begun to form regarding treating and keeping local patients at DJWH.

Dixie Walden, President of the DJWH Foundation, also addressed the Board on Monday night. One of the topics she addressed was the public being unaware of various services offered by the hospital such as free blood-pressure checks. Wolleben is attempting to create a focus group process within the community which will also inform the public of the hospital's services.

Several misconceptions regarding DWJH were also mentioned by the Board. Board Member Joanna Holtman says the public is still confused how the hospital's new electronic sign was purchased. She stresses the DJWH Foundation was the source for the sign. Board Member David Wilson addressed the community's questions about the new parking lot, he explains a loan provided the means for its' completion.

Monday night's meeting also saw the full August Financial Report presented to the Board.
