Braves president John Schuerholz [[ SURE-holz ]] says the timing is right. The Braves were swept over the weekend by the New York Mets and entered Monday just 4-and-14 in the month of September and 76-and-79 overall. Wren had been the team's GM since October 2007 and had been with the organization since 2000. John Hart will serve as interim general manager. He, Schuerholz and Hall of Fame manager Bobby Cox will lead a transition team that will work to hire a new full-time general manager.
