Monticello Junior Joins Elite Company With Friday Night Performance

 width=Junior Noah Freemon of Monticello High School had a career night Friday night in a thrilling come from behind win as the Sages took down rival Tolono Unity 58-55 in Okaw Valley Conference football action.

Freemon was on the receiving end of 10 catches from junior quarterback Brandon Wildman for 348 yards. The yardage puts Freemon at second on the all time single game list according to the IHSA record books.

As a part of the ten catch night, Freemon also caught five touchdowns, which puts him at 18th all time for touchdown catches in a game, also according to the IHSA record books.

Wildman accounted for 602 yards through the air in Friday's win, according to IHSA records, that ranks him fifth on the all time list for passing yards in a game.

The Sages are 3-1 on the season and heads to an Okaw Conference game Friday at St. Joe-Ogden, who is 4-0.
