People in Illinois can hardly watch TV without being slammed with political ads. A new report reveals politicians and Political Action Committees have paid for nearly 35-thousand-ads since the campaign season heated up in early 2013. Ben Wieder [[ Weeder ]], with the Center for Public Integrity, says that's not even the half of it.

Wieder adds Bruce Rauner's team has put out most of those ads.

In all, the ads come with a tab of about 26-and-a-half-million-bucks. Bruce Rauner has dropped eleven-million-dollars of his own cash on the governor's race. An outside group known as Illinois Freedom PAC has spent about five-million-trying to keep him out of office. Political experts say people can expect to see a lot more of the candidates in the coming weeks.
