A short and rather uneventful DeWitt County Board meeting Thursday night once again lasted less than an hour.

Thursday night, the Dewitt County Board approved the spending of budgeted Highway Department money to install a culvert.

The board approved the hiring of an excavation service for the price of $32-hundred. They also hired a crane service to lift necessary pieces into place to the tune of $88-hundred.

At the end of the meeting, Board member Terry Hoffman was critical of the the work done by other board members throughout the meeting and Board member Dan Ballenger chided Hoffman. Ballenger felt Hoffman needs to give other board members, and County employees credit for their work.

The next Dewitt County Board meeting will be next Thursday October 2nd at the Dewitt County Courthouse.
